The Ruins of Akrotiri and the Lost Atlantis. What do the Akashic Records tell us?
In my current visit to the Greek islands, I took a visit to the picturesque island of Santorini. Having no spiritual plans and expectations of this island, as I did with my visits to the island of Delos and Naxos, the information I received upon my arrival drew me to study the island’s mysterious past.
It so happens that Santorini was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption, which occurred about 3,600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization.
The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of meters deep.
In the picture above, the circular inner sea that has Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni in its center is the actual mouth of the volcano now covered in water!
The eruption wiped out Akrotiri, the city and inhabitants of what’s now Santorini. Those inhabitants are believed to be Minoans.
The Minoan civilization is said to be the oldest advanced civilization in Europe. The history of the Minotaur and the labyrinth in Greek myth comes from this civilization which had its base in the island of Crete, also in the Aegean sea.

What I found very interesting is that no actual palaces or temples have been found yet, but most houses are several stories high, made from sturdy materials, have sewage systems, hot and cold water, bathtubs, toilets with sewage and even syphoning systems, most houses have elaborate frescos, and some even had underfloor heating. Giving evidence that not only they were incredibly advanced (it’s a late Bronze age city), but also, they were apparently very wealthy, probably due to Akrotiri’s strategic location for sea commerce.

My intuition tells me that until this day, an energy vortex remains active in the island of Santorini which brings commerce and abundance, now in the form of mass tourism. I must say that I feel a little bit annoyed by how the island has been overexploited by tourism and how easy my euros evaporate in here, but I also feel that the vortex brings abundance to those who come here. Perhaps a recurrence from a past life? In the astral world I’ve researched past lives and found out I was a Greek in many existences, whether I was a Minoan living in Akrotiri when the volcano went off is something I have not seen…yet.
All of that wealth ancient Akrotiri had, however, seemed to have flowed for just over half a century, when in 1650 B.C., the volcanic eruption sunk a part of Akrotiri, and the rest perished under the explosion and was buried under 130 feet of volcanic ash. It is believed that the ash even made it to Egypt and caused a global winter for 2 years!

These two facts, the fact that Akrotiri was very advanced, defying previous beliefs about technology of the late Bronze Age, plus the fact that it was all destroyed in a cataclysm that occurred more than a millennia before Plato came up with the history of the Lost Atlantis in his dialogues of Critias and Timaeus (circa 427 - 347 BC), has generated the belief that the history of Atlantis was referring to this cataclysm. The name of Atlantis pops up often in Santorini: hotels named Atlantis, there’s a tourist trap called The Lost Atlantis Experience, and even a local wine named Atlantis (which was quite good, let me tell you.)

But Plato in his dialogues doesn’t mention Atlantis being destroyed by a volcanic eruption but by earthquakes and floods which ultimately sank Atlantis around 10, 000 years ago.
The sad reality is that just as Akrotiri, other cities have disappeared in the blink of an eye due to cataclysms, yet the scientific community has yet to find the remains of a lost civilization so magnificent, so old and enigmatic as the legendary Atlantis.
As an astral traveler, I know that science is very limiting and has very few answers. I agree with master Dharmapa’s opinion that humanity put so much faith in science, thinking that science was going to solve all of our problems, and over the past decades we’ve come to the realization that this is not true: we’re still very limited, we’re not living in harmony with nature, and the science that was going to bring the technology to solve our problems is actually creating a lot of toxicity in our planet, and of course, there’s the persistent belief in the scientific community that Mesopotamia (4000 – 3500 B.C.) was the oldest civilization. According to scientists, 10,000 years ago humans lived in caves as hunters gatherers, yet, every day that goes by, archaeologists are making new discoveries about ancient civilizations that are constantly defying the timelines of what was believed ancient humans could do in terms of technology and constructions, like what’s happening with the recently discovered Gobekli Tepe, the archaeological site in Turkey which is believed to be an astronomical observatory dated between 9500 and 8000 BCE (Some even claiming it to be from 20 000 BCE.) Which, by the way, hopefully I will be visiting in a couple of weeks.
According to Dharmapa, it’s very probable that in our times conclusive evidence of the existence of Atlantis will come to light. Even if they’re probably trying to hide it as much as they can from us. For such discovery could destroy the very structure of beliefs and social organization as we know it.
Every archaeological discovery comes hand in hand with the level of consciousness that humanity has awakened, for the ancients even had technologies that could destroy us if they were to fall into the wrong hands.
And by the way, on the subject of Atlantis, master Dharmapa, the only man I’ve known personally who has the ability to explore the Akashic Records at will without the need of going to bed and do the astral projection techniques some of us are familiar with (I too can visit the Akashic Records but with lots of effort at bedtime or sometimes in the waking state but very random and uncontrolled), says that Atlantis didn’t sink 10,000 years ago as Plato believed, but rather 50,000 years ago when water levels across the planet raised in a global warming phenomena which short after led to the last ice age.
By that time, our current 5th humanity was already established all over the globe, the offspring of the 4th race, the Atlanteans who were also spread all over the world and of which the legend of Lost Atlantis refers only to the last island who still had the original culture and genetical footprint of this previous Atlantean humanity, the 4th human root race in our planetary evolution as theosophists correctly declare. Information, which can be explored in the Akashic Records in the 5th dimension, the astral and mental planes. But that’s a story for another day.
